What has happened since your last visit to the MIPLIB? Find below the news log since the release of MIPLIB 2017. Please visit also the Changelog.

Aug 03, 2020 Release of solufile version 17 with 14 better incumbents! Additionally a section for all solution submitters was added.
June 22, 2020 Release of solufile version 16 with 2 new optimal solutions and 11 better incumbents!
May 24, 2020 The new solutionfile version 15 has been released with 2 new optimal solutions, and 49 better incumbents! Importantly, the Benchmark.zip now includes correctly the instances from the benchmark-v2 testset, instead of benchmark-v1.
May 19, 2020 Thiago Serra and Ryan J. O’Neil have launched their Python tool MIPLIBing to query feature data and download instances from benchmark libraries MIPLIB, QPLIB, and MINLPLib.
Mar 25, 2020 Another month, another update! This time, we have 5 additional optimal and 20 incumbent solution submissions.
February 24, 2020 With the biggest update regarding optimal solutions so far, the realease of solution file version 13 includes 15 new optimal solutions and 7 better incumbent solutions. Additionally, b1c1s1 was solved within one hour and thus moved from ‘hard’ to ‘easy’.
February 11, 2020 A new year - a new decade - starts, and with that come some changes. We are sad to announce long time maintainer Gregor Hendel will no longer be responsible for MIPLIB 2017. We are very grateful for his significant contributions to the creation of MIPLIB 2017 and the fantastic job he did in maintaining this web page and all information listed on it! From now on, Gabriel Kressin will maintain the MIPLIB 2017 web page. Additionally, this update brings 91 improved incumbent solutions, of which 2 are the first known solutions for their respective instances and 3 are proven optimal solutions.
December 19, 2019 MIPLIB 2017 celebrates its largest update so far. 10 instances have been reported solved for the first time, and another 115 instances have improving solutions.
November 20, 2019 With the 1st anniversary of MIPLIB 2017, it is time for another update. 13 new solutions have been added, 5 of which on instances for which no solution was known so far. Please see the CHANGELOG for details. We would like to warmly thank all contributors of new/improving solutions for their continuous effort.
Sep 30, 2019 To the start of October, we punctually release an updated version of the test script that makes it easier to run tests. Also, we release version 9 of the solution file with 4 updated incumbent solutions for following instances: circ10-3, genus-g31-8, genus-g61-25, siena1.
Aug 26, 2019 Release of Version 8 of the solution file with 4 updated incumbent solutions for following instances: ivu06, ivu06-big, ds-big, t1717.
Jul 12, 2019 Release of a technical report that describes the selection methodology used for MIPLIB 2017 in detail.
Jun 24, 2019 The MIPLIB 2017 benchmark set has been updated after the two instances neos-5075914-elvire and neos-3754224-navua were labeled as numerically unstable and could no longer be part of the benchmark set. In order to meet our balancedness criteria regarding feature and performance coverage, the new version 2 of the MIPLIB 2017 benchmark set exchanges 5 instances in total, see CHANGELOG for details. Release of version 7 of the Solution file as well as updates to different tagged sets after 5 additional instances have been solved! Furthermore there was the correction of a curious case of the instance bmocbd2, which now is properly tagged as easy.
Jun 6, 2019 Release of version 6 of the Solution file as well as updates to different tagged sets after 4 additional instances have been solved, one by a rigorous proof without any additional software.
Apr 8, 2019 The feature extractor application and the raw data used for the selection process are now available on the Download Page.
Mar 15, 2019 Introduction of instance tags, which replace the notion of sets used so far. All instances carry a status tag, but they may also be tagged regarding special properties. In order to see all instances of a specific tag, simply click on the tag. Tags are also searchable, in order to find all instances that are labeled by both the binary and decomposition tag, as an example.
Feb 28, 2019 Release of version 5 of the Solution file as well as updates to different subsets after 3 additional instances have been solved, and 3 others have been updated.
Jan 29, 2019 Release of version 4 of the Solution file as well as updates to different subsets after 3 additional instances have been solved, and 3 others have been updated.
Jan 28, 2019 Important update of 29 instances in the collection set that were different from the MIPLIB2010 and MIPLIB2003 instances with the same name. The instance files differed from the previous MIPLIBs either within the comment section, and/or rarely represented permuted versions of the original instances. This has been corrected. All solutions or optimal/best known solutions still apply.
Nov 30, 2018 Release of version 3 of the Solution file as well as updates to different subsets after 9 additional instances have been solved, and 8 others have been updated.
Nov 09, 2018 Release of versions 2 of the hard, open, and infeasible sets as well as the Solution file after 6 previously open instances have been solved.
Nov 05, 2018 Release of MIPLIB 2017, the 6th edition of the Mixed Integer Programming library.
Aug 2017 Start of performance evaluation on submissions.
Apr 2017 Submission deadline for the new library.
Nov 2016 Public call for submissions for a new and challenging MIPLIB.
